Utah High School Hockey to Host the Finest High School Players in the Country Viewed 38,880 times

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - March 19, 2012 - The USA Hockey High School National Championship tournament is set for March 21-25 at the Salt Lake City Sports Complex (645 S. Guardsman Way). The best high school hockey athletes will descend on Salt Lake City to battle it out for the National Championship. Teams from across the nation, including Utah state champion Judge Memorial and runner-up Bingham.

"We are very excited to host the most prestigious amateur hockey tournament contested in Salt Lake City since the 2002 Olympic Winter Games," said Peter Bratsos, president of Utah High School Hockey. "We would like to invite everyone to come out and experience all the excitement that high school hockey has to offer."

"The Utah Sports Commission is excited to partner with USA Hockey, Utah High School Hockey and our venue partners to host approximately 1,100 players, coaches, referees, tournament officials and fans," said Jeff Robbins, president and CEO of the Utah Sports Commission. "This event brings economic benefit to Utah and adds to Utah's diverse sports portfolio".

Round-robin play begins Wednesday and concludes Friday. The quarterfinals are set for Saturday morning with the semifinals set for the afternoon. The national championship game is set for Sunday at 9 a.m.
