The Chocolate Festival annual tradition continues Saturday, February 4th, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. at Accolade, Hamiltons event venue, located at 2427 N. Main Street Logan, UT 84341. Tickets are $10.00 per adult/ $5.00 per child 12 and under, and will be available at the door. Participants may sample delightful treats whipped up by local amateur and professional chefs. A silent auction of all entries begins at 6:30 p.m. A live auction of the winning desserts and other valuable items donated by local merchants follows at 8:00. Taste theses fabulous delicacies and stay to bid on the award winners at the live auction. Or, for a modest donation, take home a luscious goody bag to your sweetheart. All the money raised supports Utah Planned Parenthood.
Everyone can participate! Amateur and professional dessert makers are welcomed to submit entries in any of the following categories: cakes, pies, cookies, brownies, and chocolates. Those craving an alternative non-chocolate challenge, we have reserved a special category called “potpourri.” Entry forms and more information can be found on our website at www.thechocolatefestival.org and on Facebook. Judges will award the best entries in each category including best amateur and best professional chef. Other awards will include best teen and best parent/child collaboration. The public will award their favorite deserts with the "People’s Choice Award."
The Chocolate festival represents the best of what Cache Valley has to offer: hard working volunteers who gather together each year to share culinary talent, great friendship, and their continued commitment for providing affordable health in our community.
